Oh oh, it’s for the Hughes tribute. That makes sense. Probably a good tribute to him that I just called them “Andie and Ferris.”

Indeed. Jack has owned it in the past, but tonight it is Morgan.

Tina Fey looks like she was dressed by the Flintstones

      • fillyjonk 2:15 am on March 8, 2010 Permalink | Reply

Ha, I said earlier that her hair looked like Cheetarah. Apparently the Fey reminds us of old cartoons tonight — could be worse.

      • jamy 2:03 am on March 8, 2010 Permalink | Reply

Miley looks very uncomfortable in her dress. She’s ready to collapse in on herself.

“Nude” is problematic, I nominate “white-lady washout.”

Ok, Inglourious Basterds and Up are the only two films that have been nominated for anything this year that I’ve actually seen. This seriously hampers my ability to predict wins.

    • scatteredmarbles 1:51 am on March 8, 2010 Permalink | Reply

lol I am with you there.. I have only seen Up i think… and some of these I am thinking I am glad I never went to see.

      • fillyjonk 1:52 am on March 8, 2010 Permalink | Reply

Ebert’s negative review of Lovely Bones was hilarious, definitely not gonna see that. Or this Bullock one which looks really racist.

I’m impressed at your (mis) spelling skillz

      • fillyjonk 1:53 am on March 8, 2010 Permalink | Reply

Haha thanks, for some reason it really rankles me when people misspell that one wrong. Like, NOW you can spell?

        • fillyjonk 1:54 am on March 8, 2010 Permalink | Reply

I should say, I guess, when they DON’T misspell it, or the rest of my joke doesn’t work. But also when they misspell it wrong.

    • Tink 1:53 am on March 8, 2010 Permalink | Reply

I saw those along with Julie and Julia (that’s nominated right?) and The Blind Side which was FAN-FREAKIN’-TASTIC, but since I think so there’s no chance in heck it will win.

    • lt 1:53 am on March 8, 2010 Permalink | Reply

yeah – kind of telling that I haven’t heard *anything* about the actor playing the kid who seems to exist to change her life. And double puke on “no coat and no hope”

    • hsofia 1:54 am on March 8, 2010 Permalink | Reply

I saw a commercial for the Blind Side and was like Whaa? Is this movie really about another “nice white lady” telling a black kid he can “be somebody” when everyone else gave up on him? I am still puzzled about this movie … I mean, what is the deal? It seems kind of … racist.

      • fillyjonk 1:57 am on March 8, 2010 Permalink | Reply

That is, I believe, the whole deal.

    • fillyjonk 1:57 am on March 8, 2010 Permalink | Reply

It’s the same way I feel when people express unfamiliarity with/dislike of Lady Gaga. Like, are we living on the same planet? Because on my planet we read a lot of Jezebel.
